Martin and Caroline own Anglesey Divers and have been involved with the business since 1989.
Both Martin and Caroline originally trained with the BSAC and both gained instructor status, Martin achieved BSAC’s top instructor status of National Instructor and Caroline achieved Advanced Instructor Status. Both put their skills to good use teaching BSAC courses through Anglesey Divers and were awarded Centre of Excellence Status by the BSAC in 1998. In 1999 Martin trained with PADI to become an Open Water Instructor and started teaching PADI courses through Anglesey Divers in 2000. Anglesey Divers were awarded recognition of excellence certificates in 2002, 03, 05 and 2007 for their standards of teaching and customer care. These awards are given as a result of customer testimonials. Anglesey Divers were awarded PADI 5* Centre status in 2005, one of only two PADI 5* Dive Centres in Wales.
Caroline puts her vast experience of diving into the day to day running of the business. She has managed the administration of Anglesey Divers for over 14 years and has organised and conducted diving expeditions in locations throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East, Caribbean & South Africa. Caroline and Martin have two teenage children, Daniel and Emma, and Anglesey Divers has always been family orientated.
As a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT), Martin oversees the day to day organisation of the courses taught at Anglesey Divers. But his involvement with the business doesn’t stop there. Martin’s other instructor qualifications include: TDI Rebreather / Extended Range Instructor, RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor and Emergency First Response (First Aid) Instructor. Martin also puts a lot of time back into the local community and is qualified as helm of the RNLI Inshore Lifeboat and is navigator of the All Weather Lifeboat. Before Martin became a professional diving instructor he had a career as a Design Engineer and graduated from Brunel University with a degree in Polymer-technology. Experience he has put to good use in developing and running our servicing workshop.
